On 16 September 2026, Kiyochika Ogasawara (aged 10), grandson of the current head of the Ogasawara-ryu, made his debut as a mounted archer at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.

Kiyochika began his training at the age of three and has been practising diligently at Shogun Stables, the training ground of the Ogasawara-ryu, on weekends.

With the dream of following in the footsteps of his father, Kiyomoto Ogasawara, we look forward to watching Kiyochika continue to grow and develop as an archer.
